Thermomelt® 250°F — Applications & Standards
Verify preheat temperature for structural steel. Prevents cold cracking / hydrogen-induced cracking.
No power source and no periodic calibration required. When the crayon melts on the metal surface, the temperature has reached 250°F (121°C) — a clear visual result that can be photographed for on-site QA/QC records. 33% larger than Tempilstik® — saving replacement time, especially effective during long welding shifts at refineries, shipyards and offshore.
