Certified Thermomelt® 350°F / 177°C
Temperature indicator stick — 33% larger, NIST Traceable, no calibration required
Product Description
Certified Thermomelt® 350°F — Applications & Standards
Verify preheat and interpass temperature for low-alloy steel and oil & gas pipelines. Controls interpass temperature. Certified Thermomelt (89xxx) is Nuclear/Military Certified, Low Chloride/Halogen — mandatory for nuclear power plants and military applications.
No power source and no periodic calibration required. When the crayon melts on the metal surface, the temperature has reached 350°F (177°C) — a clear visual result that can be photographed for on-site QA/QC records. 33% larger than Tempilstik® — saving replacement time, especially effective during long welding shifts at refineries, shipyards and offshore.

Low-alloy steel, API 5L X52–X65, ASTM A333.
What is Interpass Temperature? tempil.vn📏 Why is Thermomelt® larger?
33% larger — fewer interruptions on site
Thermomelt® is engineered with a stick 33% larger than Tempilstik®, a metal-shaft holder and a pocket clip. At large welding sites (EPC, power plants, shipbuilding) where welders must measure many points continuously, Thermomelt® significantly reduces the need for stick changes — improving productivity and reducing losses.
Detailed comparison: Thermomelt® vs Tempilstik® tempil.vn🔬 NIST Traceable
Traceable to US national standards
All Thermomelt® sticks are NIST Traceable (National Institute of Standards and Technology) — full calibration chain traceable to US national standards. Mandatory for many EPC, pressure vessel and power piping projects per ASME. Part #89350 achieves ±1%°F accuracy at 350°F.
